A clear sky. Low near 65F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.

It’s dismaying to read that our Sen. Rounds has voted for the thousand-page, $250 billion semiconductor subsidy bill. The measure apparently ballooned almost overnight, from a bad-enough $76 billion to something three times as big, pouring money into a multitude of bureaucratic nooks and crannies.

Washington has lost all control over deficit spending, and South Dakota’s Republican senator is going along with it.

Your comment has been submitted.

There was a problem reporting this.

Well, Mr. Wetmore, how would you propose we deal with our dependency on foreign-made semiconductors? Are you aware that they are essential to building our modern defense system?

And have you been noticing that Putin’s big vulnerability in his war of conquest in Ukraine is that he’s built his war machine on foreign chips he can no longer get because of international sanctions?

Aren’t you being “Pennywise and Pound foolish”?

Or are you a MAGA “America Firster” who thinks there will be no consequences for us if we stand by and watch the Russians conquer whomever they choose?

How I long for the days before Republicans’ romance with Putin.

Once upon a time in a world long ago Republicans stood shoulder to shoulder with Americans who understood that Russia is not our friend.

Mark: It just not frustration at Rounds it is all the Boneheads in DC. regardless of party one can go down the line and look at fiscal irresponsibility that is leading to inflation. This has gotten to point of severe immorality on congress's part! It is immoral to saddle our future generations with this debt load! We have sold 6 million barrels of USA oil reserves to China! I know SoDakD--can't seem to find that number on his "google search--but that is real number! That oil was to be used here in USA--not sold to China so Biden/Crew can get kickback--but no GOP leaders spoke up about the illegal act! Why does USA have to front the money for chip factory's any way? The companies had the funds to move offshore--make them move it back. Scr@w China/Ukraine/WEF--we can shut all these outfits down. China you want bushel of corn or Soybeans--$50 bushel--pay Farmer Fred. Time to vote all out. Cut their pensions/benefits--thanks for your "service".

🟥♦️🟥♦️🟥 Well, Larry, let me ask you:

How would you propose we deal with our dependency on foreign-made semiconductors? Are you aware that they are essential to building our modern defense system?

You always complain that folks on this forum just b*itch and never offer solutions.

So what is your solution here?

Well how else do you expect Nancy Pelosi and her brilliant investor husband (76% return on all his investments, just remarkable isn't it) to keep up their multimillion dollar estates if they can't invest in companies just days before Nancy pushes a vote on these billion dollar "investments in America"? Do you think they should just have to do like the rest of us and work and be honest about what they do? And it's funny to hear SoDakD talk about our dependency on foreign countries, apparently it only matters that we aren't when Nancy and her husband and other democrats need to get richer but not on relying on foreign countries for things like, oh let's say, ENERGY, that would help us common citizens. Remember, Joe Biden went to Saudi Arabia to beg for more oil and came home empty handed, and now us American's have to keep "feeling the pain" of going green, per Pete Buttigieg, Biden's secretary of transportation told us that they other day, go read his statements if you don't believe me. More evidence that if the democrats are for something, they are either getting richer themselves off of it or Hunter Biden and the Biden family has some kind of interest in the company that our tax payer dollars are going to, i.e. covid "vaccinations", many democrats are in bed with big pharmaceutical companies, why do you think they keep pushing booster after booster after booster, even telling you that your two year old needs a shot when there is absolutely zero evidence they need it or what harm it can do to them, and see reports of Hunter's laptop information that the democrats are scrambling to cover up, the silence is deafening from the liberals and their media on this subject, wonder why? And there is no true "investment" in American companies, all these democrats just use this as a cover up for them to get richer, I know you won't believe any of that because you are good democrats and the truth hurts so you focus on Trump and Jan. 6th, but it is what it is folks, keep playing the democrats games and continue to suffer or find the truth and open your eyes to what the democrats are really doing to destroy our country.

Speaking of "out of control", so a couple things people should be paying attention to that the democrats and their media are trying to bury, one is Hunter Biden's laptop and the data that is on it and how corrupt and disgusting of a person he really is as well as others in his family, and the second one is this - "Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell responded to a report from Senate Republicans claiming that the central bank failed to combat a Chinese government information theft campaign by calling it “unfair, unsubstantiated, and unverified." As an example, "last year, Harvard University chemistry and engineering professor Charles Lieber was indicted and convicted of making false statements to federal authorities about his participation in the Thousand Talents Program. Lieber had overseen nanotechnology research with more than $15 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense, yet earned $50,000 per month as a “Strategic Scientist” at the Wuhan Institute of Technology." There's that nasty name again, Wuhan, how coincidental, huh? This story along with Hunter's laptop are building, and it's remarkable that both have to do with China, isn't it amazing how much the Biden's and their administration love China and love dealing with them and love getting rich off of them, why would our country and our democratic leadership want so much to do with China? Human rights abuses on top of human rights abuses, communism, yet the Biden's and his administration have so much to do with them, this seems odd to many, but not to the democratic faithful, it's business as usual for them. You won't find it on MSNBC or CNN as they are covering Jan. 6th and Trump wall to wall, so you will have to look for it elsewhere. More to come.

Just briefly, Voice, let’s return to the point of this letter. Your folks will have two years to investigate Hunter Biden’s laptop if they win the midterms.

So how would you propose we deal with our dependency on foreign-made semiconductors? Are you aware that they are essential to building our modern defense system?

Do you have any opinion on this? Something besides your list of favorite grievances?

VoiceforAll, looks like our leftist friends are all the sudden concerned about your lack of responses to their chattering (see BigSky57062). Amazing how they expect answers from you, yet they rarely acknowledge but never answer any of the questions you ask of them. Obviously, to them your concerns and the concerns of conservatives in general, are just “grievances” to be arrogantly brushed aside. However, this is not surprising to me considering leftists general lack of self-awareness.

SoDarkD: Congress put us in this position by allowing the companies to move overseas, Congress just signs bill mandating they move back Freeze all pensions/benefits of congress to pay for the move back. Again you critize everyone but you your self and Ilk bring zero solutions to table. SODARKD: LIFE IS HARD. BUT IT IS HARDER WHEN YOUR STUPID.

🔴🔺🟥 Actually, Larry, I think the Senate bipartisan bill to subsidize U.S.-made semiconductor chips IS a solution. Not perfect. No legislation ever is. But a solution none-the-less.

And since production of your oil is subsidized by the government, you can’t honestly object to this legislation on principle can you? So what is your beef?

How would you propose we deal with our dependency on foreign-made semiconductors? What is YOUR solution?

Are you aware that chips are essential to building our modern defense system?

Do you have any opinion on this? Something besides your usual list of favorite villains?

SoDarkD; It is coming out now that FBI internally froze all investigation into Hunter Biden. DOJ/FBI have zero creditability left--they at higher echelon have been corrupted. Politically weaponized. But Hunters crimes have no statue of limitations so get ready--it coming and will take down sitting president and others.

🔴 Larry, that is not what I’m hearing. Your FBI “information” is a bit premature.

“The federal investigation into Hunter Biden's business activities is nearing a critical juncture as investigators weigh possible charges and prosecutors confront Justice Department guidelines to generally avoid bringing politically sensitive cases close to an election, according to people briefed on the matter.”

But if you can wait (and the Repubs win the House) “the Republicans in Congress have already announced that if they take over the House of Representatives after the midterm elections, they plan to launch new investigations and hold hearings to examine the conduct of Hunter Biden and others in the Biden family.”

And I’ll be as curious as you are eager to see what this turns up.

And I find it even more curious that Republicans aren’t seeming serious about disproving the findings of the January 6th Commission whose findings are far more damaging than what’s likely on Hunter's laptop.

Does anyone else think Voice’s posts are getting increasingly more manic?

He used to make at least a feeble attempt to respond to the subject matter at hand before launching into his grievances du jour.

Now he just cuts and pastes his usual list and avoids dialogue altogether.

I suppose for those who typically engage him it’s victory of sorts.

Oh, so you are saying my replies don't fit the democratic narrative that our country is in great shape, there are no issues, Biden and his administration are doing a great job, and none of my reply's let you keep driving the Jan. 6th and Trump is an awful president comments that fill 98% of the things you democrats talk about? Just look at all of your reply's to letters, it's all Jan. 6th, it's all about Trump, you cannot get off of those two items, regardless of how bad our country is getting all you talk about it Jan. 6th and Trump. And I have noticed the new play in your playbook, attacking Noem, she apparently has you all scared too now, you are so afraid of all these republicans running these successful cities, states and the country, because when your party does all these things go in the toilet. You are never happy with a strong, powerful woman doing a great job of running our state with it not being in debt and having low crime and keeping CRT and transgender teaching out of our children's classrooms, like I have said before, you want chaos, you want misery, just like democratically run states and cities and now the country are. Sorry I won't go along with your narratives on keeping the focus off of Biden and how awful of a job he is doing, if you don't like my comments, don't respond, if you don't like what I am saying, don't respond, if you don't like me, don't respond, it's pretty simple, it's still a free country, for now.

What's this???? President Biden met with at least 14 of Hunter Biden’s business associates while he was vice president in the Obama White House, casting further doubt on the president’s repeated claims that he had no knowledge of his son’s foreign business dealings. "I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings," Biden said in 2019. - And what about this? - "The federal investigation into Biden, which began in 2018, is reportedly heating up as prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware seek grand jury testimony concerning the sources of the first son’s foreign income, including from Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings Ltd., of which Biden served on the board of directors. Prosecutors have also questioned one of Biden’s associates about his drug and alcohol abuse in 2018, the Wall Street Journal reported this week." How can this be democrats? Surely the Biden's aren't doing anything shady, are they? The more than outstanding prostitute loving, cocaine abusing first son wouldn't do anything shady and his daddy surely wouldn't be involved, would he? And they are involved with a company in Ukraine? Wonder how much of the billions of tax payers dollars we are "helping" Ukraine with is making it's way into the businesses the Biden's are tied to into that country? I am sure Joey will deny that too.

Voice, Mr. Wick, likely you will get your opportunity to see the Bidens thoroughly investigated by your people if/when they take over the house.

And if they do, they will be bound by the need for evidence, (in stark contrast to their opinions on national media), and I’ll be very interested - along with you - to see what they uncover.

In the meantime, no conservative on this forum has actually responded in any rational way to the subject at hand - the “chips“ bill.

And it's official now America, we are in a recession. Yep, democratic policies have driven our once prosperous country under Trump into a recession in a short 19 months. Even though your party is spending all it's efforts on Jan. 6th and Trump and now redefining what a recession is (which is amazing in itself), you have all successfully driven our economy into negative territory for 6 straight months. So, of the 19 months you have been in charge, 13 of the first months riding the coat tails of President Trump's successful policies of making our country strong and prosperous, you have been able to bring us to our knees in a short 6 months. You're leaders can spend all day, and they are actually, trying to tell everyone that things are fine and that we are not in a recession, but unfortunately EVERYONE is seeing it differently, even all you die hard democrats on this forum are seeing it, but you will continue to deny it and keep saying your party is doing a great job running this country. Everything, and I mean everything, is saying different. Yet another democratic, liberal policy creating recession, and many, many economists are saying we are in for the long haul on this one because of the lack of doing anything to fix it by the democrats. So let me be the first to "congratulate" you on driving this country deeper into a more chaotic, absolute mess and making us all pay the price for your unbelievable horrible decisions and policies.

SoDarkD: You say no evidence on Biden Mafia--but lets see all of it. Expose all of it. If they had nothing to hide they would not be QT on matter. But we shall see if it all goes under the table like the Clinton's. But now democrats are going to unleash more money into the economy with this "Climate Control" Bill. Question they want to cut emissions from vehicles/planes etc. So why are we pumping BILLIONS into expanding/rebuilding Airports for more flying? Isn't that counterproductive to cutting emissions? The old say one thing do another? Renewable energy is fine. But have you checked out the solar scam? I been serious about it for 10 years--but no way can you even breakeven on money spent on install for 20 plus years. The panels are shot after 15 years at best! EV can't even be on par with ICE vehicle for 8 years. By then you need new battery. Current disposal of battery is running $4000! All a SCAM against the little guy.

Oh it's an easy answer SoDakD, the author basically spelled it out already, you just chose to ignore it. Why did the bill explode from $76 bill to $250 billion basically overnight? Because like the author said, the nooks and cranny, and for another thing, Nancy Pelosi's husband invested millions in one of the companies that is bound to make billions from this bill being passed, so the more tax payers money that Nancy can roll into the bill, the more money her absolutely amazing and brilliant investor of a husband and herself can make. Do you expect her to get rich by only taking $76 billion of our our money and giving it to who knows for this "investment", noooo, she needed another $174 billion, my guess is that she had several more friends that were investing as well, just like her husband did just days before the bill was introduced, and she needed them to make more money as well, it's actually pretty simple, what a better way to get richer than off the taxpayers backs, been a democratic strategy for along time now. Now if Rounds hadn't voted for it you would be all over him and attacking him as well as Noem and probably Trump calling them un-American or whatever label you use on people, so Round's is in a no win situation with you democrats, as usual. I don't know if he should have voted for it or not, I don't know everything that is in the bill, but if Nancy's husband is investing millions in it and Nancy increased it by $174 billion and Joe Biden is behind it as well, my first reaction is that it shouldn't be passed because it's not being done to help Americans, it's being done to help the democrats and their friends, happens all the time in your party. There, you like my answer SoDakD?

I'm never going to say (nor have I) that the country’s “doing great.”

Over the years - even when the folks I voted for were in power - there were always too many challenges for that kind of self-satisfaction.

That’s why I believe politics is always the lesser of two (or more) evils. So far I don’t see that the party of Trump is the lesser.

Things really weren’t that great under Trump. Don’t forget the pandemic and the financial collapse that left so many people unemployed. Or dead. It cost Trump the election.

We can argue about the other successes or failures of his administration, but the numbers defining these two realities are there for all to see.

And now we all don’t even agree on the challenges we face. Or the facts underlying them, so progress is going to be slow. Maybe verrry slow.

Here is a partial list of those issues we can’t agree on. Some we don’t even agree are real.

Look at them all: 1️⃣The economy 2️⃣The coronavirus pandemic (it’s still with us) 3️⃣Abortion 4️⃣Health care 5️⃣Infrastructure 6️⃣Immigration 7️⃣Supreme Court 8️⃣ Crime 9️⃣Foreign policy (especially China and the War in Ukrainian) 🔟 Gun policy 1️⃣1️⃣Racial, sexual and ethnic inequality 1️⃣2️⃣Economic inequality 1️⃣3️⃣Global warming.

In the past our Democratic Experiment has tried different solutions to many different challenges with our regular transfer of power. This has allowed different approaches to these problems.

Eventually things often get worked out. (Winston Churchill once said, “Americans always do the right thing. But first they try everything else.)

So depending on what happens after subsequent trips to the ballot box, eventually some new (and hopefully younger) people will get a crack at managing America's challenges.

But for this to be possible, we have to preserve our tradition of free and fair elections. This, for me, is why the investigation of the January 6 attempted coup to overturn our election is so important.

Without this tradition our whole American Dream falls apart.

Of all the things you listed SoDakD, nothing, not one thing is being done to fix any of it by the party in charge, it's all getting worse. All the public ever gets from this administration is that this and that are their number one priority, yet nothing gets better. We hear excuse after excuse from the top down in the Biden administration, and the things that the current party in charge do, if they do anything, only makes it worse. They won't own up to any of these issues, sure you listed them, but they won't take any responsibility for any of it, only blaming anyone and everyone, and doing nothing to fix it. Since you brought him up again as you always do, just wondering, how much were you paying for gas under Trump? How much were your heating and electrical bills, how much did food cost you, how low was our crime, how low was illegal immigration, we all had it so good our economy was booming, but look at us now. And speaking of fair elections, why is that when a republican wins an elected office the democrats shout foul (remember when Trump won and you all came out of the woodwork), but when the democrats win an election, they run around telling everyone that it was the most open, fair election ever (when Biden won), it happens all the time. You want fair elections, stop letting everyone vote 6 months in advance of an election, make everyone get a voter ID (it's not that tough, but your party fights tooth and nail to prevent it for some reason), purge the voter rolls of dead people and those not allowed to vote, don't let illegal immigrants vote (they have not earned that right), stop putting voting boxes on every street corner and make people go to the designated places. Voting without all these "special" rules has worked for decades and decades, but democrats push these things, they push every work around they can think of to keep the votes and the voters honest. Go back to what we used to do, add voter ID's, and make our elections truly honest and fair. Again, I still find it amazing that you think these few hundred people on Jan. 6th were going stop free and fair elections, it wasn't, I get it, it is your rallying cry, but if we made every voter actually responsible for each vote they cast and stopped giving all these open doors to voting fraud, we could check one thing off the list of things that needs fixed, but democrats don't seem to want to fix anything, they only want to change the rules, change it in their favor, and keep the honest people out.

🟥♦️🔴 Voice, you really should stop appealing to my pocket book.

If these are the hardest economic times you’ve had to weather you’re lucky indeed.

I know how important the economy is for you and for most voters, and it may deliver the next election to you and yours.

But by now you should know that I care more about preserving our tradition of a peaceful transfer of power, which was broken for the first (and the last time, I hope) by the January 6th insurrection.

I’ll trade an election or two for that tradition if it can be preserved.

I’m not a “true believer” like you Voice. I’ve never been seduced into thinking that if only the right party gets elected everything will be OK.

And if you look at the items on my list, most of them were issues well before either man was president. Some of them have been with us as long as we’ve been a nation. Or longer.

And truthfully, even if the Repubs take over the House AND the Senate the result for you won’t be solutions. It’ll be gridlock. At least it will until/if Mitch gets rid of the filibuster.

Modern politics seems to be gridlock as usual, Voice, until one party or another gets both the House and the Senate AND the White House.

Trump's only legislative accomplishment - a big deficit-expanding, unfunded tax cut for his donors was only possible with this winning combination.

Everything else was just Trump's executive orders, which our experience with Obama taught us are fleeting and temporary. Even when you sign them with a big sharpie.

Biden’s deficit-expanding legislative accomplishments are more numerous, but if either the House or Senate flips Republican, that’s the end of HIS legislation.

However, despite gridlock on the horizon, I'm actually optimistic about the actions that seem to be coming together to punish the perpetrators of the January 6th Coup attempt.

The Justice department seems to be reaching into Trump's inner circle. And even if they decide that, as a former President, Trump is above the law; if all or even some of his supporters who helped orchestrate and carry off his coup eventually go to jail THAT will send a message.

And to add to my optimism, it looks like Rupert Murdoch is abandoning Trump as evidenced by the recent blistering editorials in his New York Post and the Wall Street Journal following the revelations of the January 6th Committee.

That should mix things up a bit. Rupert Murdoch doesn’t really need to back a winner. To continue his lucrative ratings he just needs to keep the eyeballs of an angry viewership.

Win or lose, he’s in the catbird seat. Just like Rush Limbaugh who continued to prosper no matter who won the latest political contest.

Murdoch’s history of past political shifts in the UK and Australia (for those who follow them) bears out this business plan.

For media mogul Rupert, a bitter defeat is as good for the bottom line as an unexpected victory. No wonder Trump is p*issed. He’s met someone else whose loyalty only goes only one way. No further than his wallet.

(Oh, and did anyone notice that Fox News didn’t even carry Trump's DC speech on Tuesday? But it DID go live with Mike Pence’s address.)

PS I sorry you’re not enjoying this as much as I am, Voice, but I look at politics the way some people look at sports. The stakes are higher, of course, but there’s never a single winner for all time.

There’s always a developing story. Lighten up and enjoy the ride…

Once again SoDakD, more talk of Trump but very, very little talk of today's issues like the recession, illegal immigration, foreign policy, crime, sure you can list them but again, democrats are doing nothing to fix any of it, only making it worse. Sorry I can't take what is happening to our country as lightly as you can, I am fighting to keep it from getting worse, you and the rest of the democrats just keep on making it worse, so it isn't something I take lightly and look at like a game. Maybe if you and the rest of the democratic party would take what is happening to our country more seriously, we could still save what is left of our country, of our society, of our children, of our future. Keep playing games, keep up blaming everyone else for the problems your party is creating, keep ignoring what your party is doing to us all, I am not going to, and every day, there are more people like me than you, thankfully.

OK, Mr. Voice. I’ll pause my concern over your Republicans’ January 6th attempt to end our Democracy and work on a list of Democrats’ legislative accomplishments. (Biden’s recent successes in this regard are very motivating.)

The ephemeral executive order doesn't count. We know how fleeting they are. (Biden’s tally of executive orders so far is 89 compared to Trump’s 220.)

Your job will be much easier than mine since the only legislative accomplishment the Party of Trump can boast of is a big tax cut for The Donald and his wealthy donors.

And more about Trump eh SoDakD? Is it at all possible that you could argue any of the democratic points without using Trump or Jan. 6th in your argument and maybe stand on your own parties merits for once? And the difference between Trump's executive orders and Biden's is that Trump's actually were doing things to help American's and our economy and not help foreign countries more than our own country, all Biden's do is take away more of our freedoms, cost American's billions more in tax payer dollars, gives foreign countries more of our tax payers money, gives more countries our strategic oil reserves while he and his son make millions from it, or gives some fringe group that the democrats think have more rights than the other 99% of us that are losing their rights so they can have more. See there's a difference, but why would you care, 19 months and still blaming Trump, 19 months and still talking about Jan. 6th, 19 months and our economy gets worse each month, 19 months and we loose more freedoms every day, 19 months and Hunter and Joe and Nancy and Chuck get richer and richer, 19 months and big pharmaceutical companies and all their buddies get richer, 19 months and talk of more lockdowns, 19 months and yet another "pandemic" is about to show up just in time for the next election. And actually, Trump signed 204 executive orders over 4 years which was 4.2 per month, Biden's 89 over 19 months is 4.7 per month, so your great president is on par to sign more than Trump, so Biden would sign 226 at this pace, strange how the facts get in the way sometimes, huh SoDakD?

🟥🟥 You miss my point on executive orders, Voice.

And actually, neither Trump or Biden beat Obama.

My point is that executive orders are fleeting and seldom last through the next generation.

Legislation is the preferred way to go wouldn’t you agree?

PS I’m still working on my list of Biden’s legislation.

Voiceforall, I admire your determination, keep up the fight. Did you catch how leftists always attempt to define success or anything else, only in ways that benefits them? Kind of like “it doesn’t look like a recession to me” because it doesn’t matter to them if what they say or believe is tied to reality or not.

Leftists are motivated only by ideology. Remember this phase; “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Well, we are all currently standing in the middle of that fundamentally transforming intentionally set and raging leftist dumpster fire. A spectacular failure….

Leftists falsely believe that the number of bills passed automatically means success. It doesn’t matter to them how disastrous these bills actually are, it’s just that they passed something. We must all remember that democrats don’t care if what they pass really works or not, as long as passing it makes them feel better about themselves.

Finally, they need to keep score because this is all a game to them. A game of control. They are far more obsessed with punishing their political opponents than they are about doing a good job of leading the country.

Mr. Wick, I wonder if you can give me a conservative’s perspective on what is happening in the Rupert Murdoch world.

Others have pointed out that Murdoch seems to be abandoning Trump.

There have been blistering editorials in his New York Post and the Wall Street Journal following the revelations of the January 6th Committee.

Plus FoxNews is acknowledging that Trump lost the election.

And now Karl Rove has just written a WSJ opinion piece: “What will Donald Trump do with his campaign cash?” alleging that appears to be a scam on his small sonars.

Can you please give me your opinion?

Mr. T, I’m sure you have seen my posts indicating that I am no longer going to engage the liberals on this board. However, I will make an exception this time for you out of respect.

You know I am not a pure Trumpster, I am a moderate conservative, an independent. I think what you are seeing is something that has been in the centrist camp of conservatives for some time, that we want Trump policies without all the Trump drama. If a candidate can do this, I think that person will prove to be real competition for the nomination.

I think this is what is being reflected in the actions of Fox. Murdoch is savvy, he is creating some distance from Trump in order to place Fox/NYP/WSJ in a position to support a candidate other than Trump if that person emerges as we go through the 2024 Presidential race. This is more of a business decision than a philosophical /ideological one in my opinion.

So, I would caution you to not read too much into this right now. And please don’t listen to the talking heads on MSN or CNN these folks are in an echo chamber that is so out of touch with what is happening in conservative camps, you’ll just be misinformed. Any disillusionment with Trump could all reverse in a heartbeat given the right circumstances. If the Democrats overplay their hand with the Jan. 6 committee as it appears they are beginning to do with the expanded witness lists, the backlash could be significant. Because if the centrist conservatives reach the conclusion that the committee is now going on a fishing expedition for purely political purposes these same centrist conservates might rally behind Trump once again. This situation is very fluid on the conservative side of the house, time will tell.

I hope this answered your question.

(I have not read Mr. Rove’s article so I can’t comment on its content).

Hear it is, Voice, my rundown of what the Democrats have accomplished in less than two years.

In comparison - despite the fact that Trump Republicans held the House, the Senate and the White House for their first two years - the ONLY legislation they have to show for it is a big tax cut for The Donald and his wealthy donors.

Even if you’re charitable with the numbers, they couldn’t get more than 450 ft of Trump’s BIG BEAUTIFUL WALL built, and as they worked on it, the Mexicans were already cutting holes in it with their battery powered saws.

And the Mexican government just thumbed their noses at Trump's promise they would pay for it all.

In contrast, the Democrats have racked up the 1️⃣energy and climate spending deal which is only the most recent of some of the biggest, most consequential LEGISLATION in decades, including 2️⃣the American Rescue Plan, 3️⃣the infrastructure deal, 4️⃣the semiconductor manufacturing initiative, and 5️⃣the bipartisan gun deal.
